Rejoicing for Raindrops

Yes, the rumors are true... our thirsty California coast has (finally) gotten a healthy dose of rain!

In San Luis Obispo, this recent storm pushed our annual rainfall total to 124% above average for this time of year - thanks to a weather system sent from Hawaii via the Pineapple Express. The vibrant green tips of grass leaves, which seemed to sprout up overnight, are already beginning to carpet the hills, mountains, and pastures of SLO.

Although there are still blue skies and sunshine between the showers, all this rain makes it feel a little more like Winter here. And with more rain in the forecast, I can only imagine how beautiful our town will look and smell come springtime!
